These cables are built with a respectable gauge of wire. Insulation is solid in terms of coverage, and the connectors clamp well. The length is convenient to facilitate varying alignments of solar panels (end to end, versus side to side.)

I was going to start this review complaining that these are not standard. But I think I'm in love I have a bunch of used solar panels and I am constant dealing with MC4s and occasionally they've been so hard to disconnect that I just cut them off and replace them. These have a nonstandard retention system on the male connector and it is the easiest to disconnect I've ever seen. You probably can't use this in a system that gets inspected but for DIY and portable stuff you will never need an MC4 pry tool or pliers ever again. Plugging in was super easy and removing was too.I have literally cried in anger and frustration before when I was trying to disconnect a panel in bad weather and my fingers were cold and hurting and I broke an an MC4 tool.

The connections are robust and strong. The cables are long and give me the flexibility I need.

I didn't notice any drop off in the power my portable panels were bringing in after adding these extensions. They helped me keep the power station out of the sun and under a cover. Fair price for extensions.

It’s a great cable set to get a few more feet of extension on your solar panels. In my case the sun gets blocked by a few hedges near my shed. We keep our solar batteries in a shed so they don’t get rain or direct sunlight on them. So these cables were perfect in that it gave us the few extra feet we needed to clean the panels from being blocked by the hedges.

Plugs right into my solar panels straight to the charge controller. No problems so far.

These MC-4 extension cables are very useful to have on hand.They are well built.A bit smaller Gauge than I would have preferred (I usually use 10 AWG for my solar runs).But it does the job nicely just the same.Recommended!

These are nice cables I plan on using for my DIY solar generator to connect my charge controller to my solar panels.

They do what they are made to do. I've used them to extend my solar connections on my trailer and they are working well.

I use these to position my panels at different locations throughout the day. I have more shade than I would like so I have to chase the sun a bit. Although they get moved several times a day, I have not had any issues with the connections at either end. The cables are hard for me to disconnect but that is all MC4 connectors for me so I can't knock them for that. These do what they are supposed to do, of course check that you are buying the appropriate wire gauge for your situation.
